Chris Dotolo ~ Baseball Instructor
Former Head Baseball Coach, Hofstra University (NY)
Chris Dotolo has an extensive baseball background as a head coach and assistant coach at the Division I level, as well as a professional baseball player. He most recently served as head coach of Hofstra University a member of the CAA conference from 2002-08. He is the third winningest coach in Hofstra's history. Prior to the Hofstra position he served as the assistant coach / recruiting coordinator for both St Johns University (2000-01) and Dartmouth University (1996-99). He has coached over 25 players that have gone on to play professional baseball. Prior to entering the coaching ranks Chris played four seasons in the San Francisco Giants (MLB) organization, finishing his career at the AAA in 1994. He is a graduate of Norfolk Academy where he was a 3 star athlete and played his collegiate baseball at VCU and Virginia Wesleyan.

Ryan Morris ~ Baseball Instructor
Former Recruiting Coordinator / Assistant Baseball Coach,
Old Dominion University
Ryan Morris has over 10 years of Division I coaching and recruiting experience. He has a reputation as one of the top college recruiters in VA.. He most recently served as the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for ODU from 2005-09. During that tenure he led the Monarchs to a CAA Championship and a national ranking. He had over 13 players selected in the MLB draft. Prior to his ODU position he served as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at VCU from 2000-04. He helped lead VCU to 35 wins per year, 2 CAA Championships and 2 NCAA regional appearances. Over 18 players signed MLB contracts during his tenure at VCU. Ryan is a graduate on Manor High School in Portsmouth and was a 3 year starter at Bridgewater College where he was a .300 career hitter.

Jimmy Hunt ~ Baseball Instructor
Head Baseball Coach, Princess Anne High School
Jimmy Hunt, Head Baseball Coach at Princess Anne High School (PAHS), has coached over 11 seasons at Princess Anne. Prior to this position, he served as JV and assistant varsity coach at First Colonial High School for nine years. Most notably in his coaching career, he lead the Princess Anne Cavaliers to win the Group AAA State Championship title in 2005. Furthermore, he was named Norfolk Sports Club Coach of the Year 2005 and Beach Co-Coach of the Year 2002. Jimmy is a health/PE teacher at PAHS in the International Baccalaurate Diploma Program and resides in Virginia Beach with his wife, Julie, and their three daughters.

Dan Hudson ~ RHP, Chicago White Sox
Baseball Instructor, Hitters Warehouse
Dan Hudson, a standout pitcher at both Princess Anne High School (Coach Jimmy Hunt) and ODU (Coach Jerry Meyers), enjoyed a meteoric rise in his in his second pro baseball season with the Chicago White Sox. He started the 2009 season at Low A ball and jumped four levels to the Major League club in September 2009. Dan got his first Major League win in his second start against the Detroit Tigers on September 27, 2009.

Jimmy Miles
Baseball Instructor / Sales Representative
Jimmy Miles is a former 2 year standout outfielder with the Monarchs. He stole 77 bases during his 2 year career which led the CAA and ranked 8th nationally. He is a two time All CAA second team selection and ranks 10th all time at ODU with a .359 average. He made the All Star team in the Coastal Plain League with the Peninsula Pilots and was a two-time first team All-Southern Conference selection at South Florida CC.

Mike Zahm ~ Baseball Instructor
Assistant Coach Showcase Team
Mike Zahm was a two-year starter in the outfield for the ODU Monarchs. He was a two-time Team Captain and was selected All CAA-second team two years in a row. In 2006, he was named ODU's MVP. Prior to Mike's experience at ODU, he attended Iowa Western Community College (IWCC) where he received All-Conference, All-District and All JUCO World Series honors in 2004. IWCC placed 3rd in the JUCO World Series, 2004.

John Vellines
John Vellines is a former catcher at Radford University from 2002-2006. He played in over 125 games at the D1 level and served as team Captain for the Highlanders in 2006. An alumnus of Maury High School, John was a 2-star athlete and was selected the 2002 Norfolk Sports Club Player of the Year.

Kurt Isenburg ~ Baseball Instructor
Kurt Isenburg is a Virginia Beach native who played locally at First Colonial High School from 1997-2000. In 1999 and 2000, he was selected All Beach District, All Tidewater and Eastern Player of the year. Isenberg attended James Madison University from 2001-2003 and was one of their front-line weekend rotation starters. Isenberg was selected in the fourth round by the Toronto Blue Jays in 2003 and played six minor league seasons with the Toronto Blue Jays and San Diego Padres.

Allan comes to Thomas Nelson CC to start the first Baseball program in school history. He brings over 30 years experience of coaching and playing ranging from AAU to college levels. Allan played for the Bethel Bruins where he was a team captain, 2nd Team All District and 2-time Legion All-Star. He played college baseball for two years at Ferrum College where he was named team captain. Allan was selected both All Conference and Region his sophomore year. He also played in three college summer league national championships.

DJ comes back to Virginia after coaching in Florida for the past eight years. There he helped develop collegiate and pro prospects through training camps, showcase teams, and mentoring. DJ has over 20 years of coaching and playing experience. From his experience in Florida (Jesuit / Jefferson / Hillsborough High School) 12 of his players were either drafted or accepted scholarships to reputable Division 1 universities.

Tim Druzgala ~ Baseball Instructor

Tim is a graduate of Old Dominion University where he was a four year starter at second base for ODU's first nationally ranked team (as high as 17th in the country in 1983) and first NCAA regional appearance. Tim is currently the assistant baseball coach at Princess Anne High School. He also has run the Va. Aces top tier Showcase team for the past three years. Tim has coached over 25 players who are currently playing at the Division I, Division III and Junior College level including Robbie Harris who was drafted by the California Angels in 2009.
